BEN REINBERG
Founder and CEO
Ben Reinberg is Chief Executive Officer of Alliance Consolidated Group of Companies, LLC. and, as such, provides overall strategic and investment direction and leadership to the firm.
Ben is a respected authority on commercial real estate acquisition and investment as well as the development and structuring of transactions. He is well-versed in 1031 exchanges and assessing the needs of investment capital.
Ben brings value to the deal process through his ability to build trust quickly, raise equity efficiently, solve problems, and bridge the gap between buyers and sellers. Ben has authored and published numerous articles pertaining to the trade.
Ben’s judicious management of key resources and glass-half-full-approach to the assessment of market conditions differentiate him in a market in which the perception of opportunity has diminished. Ben caters to the knowledgeable commercial real estate investor and broker by adding value and creating goodwill at every touch point. An avid marketer, Ben has positioned Alliance as a stalwart in the commercial real estate industry. Through strategic use of the Internet, he has solidified existing business relationships and extended his reach to potential investors and sellers.
Prior to establishing Alliance, Ben founded Hillcrest Trading, Ltd., a national acquisition and management firm. He began acquiring commercial real estate assets in the 1990s.
Ben received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Accounting from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). His professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Illinois Society of Certified Public Accountants (ICPA), The Urban Land Institute (ULI), and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). He is also a Charter Member of the International Association of Commercial Real Estate Professionals.
GRISELDA TELLEZ
Director of Property and Asset Management Operations
Griselda Tellez is responsible for the day-to-day property and asset management duties of Alliance’s properties. She is in constant search of ways to improve procedures and enhance the value of each property she touches.
She began her real estate career in 1998, working first at Draper and Kramer before moving to Seneca Real Estate Group. She is now Alliance’s Director of Property and Asset Management Operations.
Griselda has a true passion for real estate and conducts herself with the utmost level of professionalism with both tenants and property owners.
Griselda’s success and experience is largely attributed to her hard work, dedication, and desire to grow. Her ability to find creative solutions to challenges and her experience in property acquisitions, due diligence, and portfolio management has enabled Griselda to maximize asset returns.
She holds an Illinois Real Estate Leasing license, has an Accredited Residential Manager certification and is a currently working toward obtaining a Certified Property Manager designation, which are designations of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).
ERIC LUBELL
Director of Marketing
Eric Lubell oversees Alliance’s Digital Marketing team. His responsibilities include developing investor materials, case studies, newsletters, and email campaigns. He is also responsible for designing and developing Alliance’s new website.
Eric is passionate about the powers of technology. The internet is such a powerful tool for connecting people with each other and with businesses. Alliance has successfully built a tremendous online following by investing in its digital presence. Today, over 100,000 investors, brokers, developers, attorneys, and lenders receive Alliance’s weekly emails.
Eric has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from MIT. He also spent 3.5 years as a Management Consultant for The Boston Consulting Group. Before working with Alliance, Eric founded a digital marketing firm here in Chicago.
Scott Nathan
Director of Accounting
Scott Nathan handles all corporate accounting and compliance needs across Alliance. Scott has managed tax engagements and examinations for over 13 years, performing high-level research, tax planning, and structure changes.
Currently, Scott is a manager in Warady & Davis LLP’s tax practice. Previously, he worked as a tax supervisor with Topel Forman, LLC, and RSM McGladrey, Inc. Scott’s tax experience covers such diverse areas as partnerships, closely held corporations, estates, trusts, and individuals, and he has a special interest in state and local taxation and multistate taxation.
Scott received his Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and Master of Science with a Specialization in Taxation from University of Illinois at Urbana‐Champaign. He has been a CPA since 2003. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois Society of Certified Public Accountants and its State & Local Taxation Committee.
Glenn Garfinkel
Outside General Counsel
Glenn Garfinkel oversees all legal matters at Alliance. Glenn is a founding member and partner of the law firm of Timm & Garfinkel, LLC. His specialties extend across areas of commercial real estate development and leasing, construction, acquisitions and dispositions, general contracts, and business law.
Glenn was executive vice president and general counsel for Crown Theaters, L.P., a prominent motion picture exhibitor with theatres located in the states of Connecticut, New York, Maryland, Florida, Illinois, Minnesota, and Nevada. In addition to his operational responsibilities, Glenn handled all legal and real estate matters for the company.
Glenn began his legal career and went on to become a partner at Gould & Ratner, located in Chicago. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, earning a degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences. He also earned his Juris Doctor from Washington University Law School in St. Louis. Glenn is a bar member in Illinois and Connecticut. He is also a member of the American Bar Association (ABA) and International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
RICK FRANKLIN
Director of Financial Reporting and Compliance
Rick Franklin oversees strategic planning for Alliance. His primary focus is on investment opportunities, deal structures, and financing structures to best position Alliance for long-term growth.
Rick serves as a member of the Illinois General Assembly’s Public Accountant Registration Committee and is the immediate past chairman of the Illinois Society of Certified Public Accountants (ICPA). As part of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Peer Review program, Rick has conducted many reviews of other certified public accounting firms.
His professional affiliations include: AICPA, ICPA, MSI Global Alliance, and Illinois CPA Society Ethics Committee (immediate past chairman).
Rick has a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University and is a licensed CPA in the state of Illinois. He is very involved in the community. He is treasurer of the Standard Club in Chicago, a board member of Camp Independence, and a board member of the Deerfield, Bannockburn, Riverwoods Chamber of Commerce. He is also a previous chairman of the board and a former board member for Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago and the Cancer Wellness Center.
David Meilan
Investor Relations Manager
David Meilan is Alliance's investor relations manager. With almost a decade of investor relations. experience across a variety of asset classes in the real estate sector, David excels at fostering strong investor relationships. He has raised over $250 million in investor capital for various commercial syndications.
David prides himself on providing white-glove customer service and is committed to earning and maintaining the trust of Alliance's past, present, and future investors through his focus on transparency and accountability. David received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, San Diego. He is based in San Diego.
COLIN VERLAC
Director of Acquisitions
Colin Verlac is the director of acquisitions at Alliance. Colin partners with brokers and sellers to originate, shepherd, and close acquisitions internally. In this role, Colin manages client and broker relationships, reviews potential opportunities for the Alliance Medical Fund, and works with sellers throughout the transaction process.
Colin has successfully sourced over $100 million in acquisitions throughout his career with some of the biggest names in the medical industry and comes by his passion for acquisitions naturally. His family has been in real estate for over six decades!
Colin has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Michigan State University. He is based in Tennessee.
